Thinking Outside the Gift Box

If you’re in business, it’s coming up to that time of year when you may start to think about what gifts to send your clients, customers and staff… or maybe you don’t? Maybe you think that sending cards and seasonal gifts is a thing of the past and that your efforts would go unnoticed? Or maybe you simply don’t have the time to shop around and put something special together?
But actually, there’s a lot to be said for thinking outside the ‘gift box’, so to speak.
Why not look at it from another perspective. What if you were the customer or employee? What if you received an unexpected gift, presented beautifully that included a card acknowledging how much your business or your hard work was appreciated? What if the gift included a special bespoke chocolate bar along with some theatre tickets for your favourite show? Or simply a handmade chocolate bar, hand-piped with a message that was personal to you? A gift that someone has put some thought into, and one you’d remember.
How would you feel? Would it make you smile? Would it lift your day? Would it make you feel special? Would you tell your friends and colleagues about your gift and how it made you feel? Of course you would! Would you tell your friends and colleagues what a thoughtful company you deal with or what a considerate boss you have? Of course you would!
So, I’ll ask you again… It’s coming up that time of year, have you given any thought to what you’ll be sending to your clients and customers this Christmas?
